# Reservations and closing

> Work from buyer interest through to a sale.

## Create a reservation request

Open the relevant unit and start a reservation request. Select an existing CRM contact or enter buyer details. Review the advisor, intermediary, reservation price, and comment before submitting.

The reservation price can differ from the asking price. Explicitly check the agreed amount.

## Complete documents

Upload the reservation agreement and work through the checklist. The **Reserved** status requires the agreement; the interface identifies missing documents. Administrators can override this requirement.

A reservation's document view brings together related customer, project, and property documents. Check that each document belongs to the correct person and unit.

## Record progress

Use the available states: **Request**, **Reserved**, **Notary preparation**, **Notary appointment**, **Sold**, and **Canceled**. Maintain the reservation deadline and notary date where available. After changing the reservation status, check the property status as well.

For competing requests, review the existing reservation before confirming another. Your organization can manage templates and checklists in reservation settings.
